Jessica, the Pop Up Pooch Park was a huge success! We had over 100 visitors and roughly 50 dogs throughout the day.

City Councilwoman Delia Jasso was in attendance and was very pleased with the results. She has asked us to put on two more Pop Up Parks at the same venue over the next two months, while she works with the Public Works department. This will build a case for her to present to the department in an effort to make the park permanent!

Very exciting! Watch for new developments over the next few weeks…

Hi. We are Daniel and Virginia Mancillas. We became aware of fidoakcliff very recently and attended the Winnetka Heights Fido Fest on 9/24. where we met Yoyo, a cute three-legged Chihuahua. Yoyo got along very well with one of our little doggies — Shorty, a merle coated rat terrier. We talked to Yoyo’s ’parents’ and his dad suggested a play date for Yoyo and Shorty but we never got any contact information to make it happen. We would like to get them together again. Maybe you can help.

We saw the Dog Meet Dog category on this web site, thinking it was some sort of ‘doggie personals’ where dogs could get in touch for play dates and such and maybe you guys are planning such a thing. I found two sweet little girl mixed breed pups near the corner of Hampton & Davis-they are very young-I guessed from their puppy breaths. I can not keep them where can i take them that they wont be put down? I have 5 dogs already-help please.

I’m looking for a foster home for a sweet dog I found last night. I’m taking her to the animal shelter this am to see if she has a chip. She has a chain type collar but no tags. We cannot foster her b/c we have 4 dogs already. She is a golden lab/pointer mix & sweet as can be. I can’t leave her @ the shelter. Please help.

Has there been any consideration in putting the DOG PARK at Founders Park ?

this under underutilized park is much better suited for a dog park..with installed utility’s like water and electricity and installed lighting..

also the dogie density is much higher than in kid springs with all the dog friendly apartments …

There is also proper parking ..
Its in the oak cliff gateway and would have better exposure…
There may be issues with putting a dog park directly next to a children playground and unwilling homeowners..
